The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra is pleased to announce an exciting musical collaboration that will see Radio Radio joining the NBYO as special guests Saturday February 18th, 2012, 7 PM at Moncton’s Wesleyan Celebration Centre. The concert, titled Radio Radio Orchestre Orchestra, will showcase the orchestra’s exciting new repertoire for 2012 and bring the electro-tinted rap, funk and pop of Radio Radio on stage for what will be a very bold musical performance.

Our friend Belmundo has told us many travel stories. The most memorable and inspiring one was about his encounter with the Mayan people. These people showed him that he held thorough knowledge on astronomy, which translated by the development of calendars that got integrated into the construction of pyramids to describe the evolution of time. Our curiosity was triggered; we wanted to find out more. So we headed down to Mexico, in the province of Yucatán. With Belmundo’s help, we were able to connect with Tiburcio. This Mayan acted as our guide and interpreter of the imposing Kukulkan pyramid. Each of its nine stories represents a stage of the Universe’s evolution, from the Bang Bang – 16 billion years ago* – to the present.

Will we witness a historical moment where Humanity will metaphorically find itself at the top of Time’s pyramid and will finally be Carguée dans sa chaise?

This Friday, June 17th, Radio Radio will hit the stage at Metropolis for their show at FrancoFolies de Montréal. The French group Hocus Pocus will kick things off with a high energy performance. Radio Radio will also perform a couple of songs as guest of Damien Robitaille Saturday night on the Ford Stage. To get you salivating for all of this, here’s a short clip of the group in rehearsal!
